Hello everyone!
So it’s been a while, a very long almost month long while,
since I last posted anything on my blog. I apologize for this because I know
many of you are curious as to what happened to me over the winter break. In
short, traveling, resting, and then getting food poisoning and having to go to
the hospital right before the new semester started. As such, I was a bit busy
during the past two weeks.
First, the new semester started last Monday. I have moved up
to the next level of Chinese classes, and I think I will enjoy the challenges
they will bring. I also chose my new elective for this semester, which will be
a grammar class. Since writing is one of my weak points, a grammar class will
help me with writing better sentences, and will also help my speaking skills as
well.
But what you all probably want to know is about the
holidays. Well, one of the main reasons I haven’t posted any other posts about
my winter travels is because I’m not sure how to go about posting them. The
Xining trip will be up this weekend, but the Shanghai trip will take longer to
post because I spent ten days in Shanghai. That means ten days of doing lots of
things, seeing lots of sites, taking lots of pictures, etc., which I’ve tried to organize, but am still having trouble deciding what's best to post and what is excessive. This is
also because I heard that some people were having trouble viewing the pictures I
put up on the Harbin post, and that it took forever for them to load because there were so many. I don’t
want to cause anyone computer problems, so I want to figure out which pictures
are best, and then put those up. I again apologize for the delays, but I want
to make sure that everyone who reads my blog gets the most enjoyment out of it
as they can.
I’m sorry that this post is so short, but other than the
semester starting, not much else happened last week (except getting homework,
and the aforementioned trip to the hospital). I promise that this weekend you
will have posts about my holidays and that you will get lovely pictures to go
with them. In the meantime, I leave you with this lovely image:
Happy Chinese New Year to All!
